I have lived in West Swan with my wife and two children since 1991 and prior to that in Beechboro. In 1995 I stood for the Swan Council elections and was elected to the Swan Valley Ward. This gave me an opportunity to work for the community, to understand and work with bureaucracy but most importantly to get things done.

In 2008 I stood for election to the State government for the Liberal Party in the new seat of West Swan and made significant inroads into Labor’s once safe margin.

I continue to be an active member of the community working hard to ensure that community concerns are heard. In Malaga I have actively promoted business development in the region and worked with the Ballajura Community College to assist with Vocational Education Training (VET) for school leavers.

In 2008 I was appointed to the Ballajura Community College School Council. It is an honour to work with the school councillors to drive initiatives that will not only support local students but also the wider region.

As president of the Malaga and Districts Business Association I have been very vocal about the need for government to build an overpass bridge on Reid Highway and Alexander Road. Also the MDBA has donated proceeds from its annual function towards supporting the Ballajura Youth Dungeon.

Following the last State election there were serious concerns that the Youth Dungeon would be closed. I actively worked with our State parliamentarians to secure annual funding of this valuable community organisation.

Before the Labor government disbanded it, I also worked on the Ballajura Safer WA local policing committee.

Below is a selection of issues I have been actively involved in as a community worker. Should there be any matters that you feel needs attention please send an email to:
